Neighbour helps police catch trespassers in Norfolk County

A neighbour who called police is being credited with the arrest of two men who were found trespassing on a property in Norfolk County.
Norfolk OPP say they received a call shortly before 1 a.m. from a concerned citizen about a suspicious person they saw outside at a house on Highway 24 North.
Officers discovered two men trespassing at the back of the house when they arrived on the scene. The men briefly tried to run from police before they were subsequently arrested and charged with four separate offences each.
“The OPP would like to take this opportunity to thank the good Samaritan that immediately contacted 9-1-1 to report this incident,” Norfolk County OPP Inspector Jodi Kays said. “As a direct result, officers located both individuals and took them into custody without incident.”
