Woman in Milton stabbed to death, suspect arrested

A woman in her 40’s was stabbed by her husband in Milton on Tuesday at 5:45 p.m.

Officers responded to a call in the area of Farmstead Dr. and Gosford Cres. where upon arrival, police found the victim in critical condition.

She was rushed to hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

Two children, ages nine and 13 were also found inside the home.

Asad Rasheed, the 40-year-old suspect fled in a red Toyota RAV 4. He was later found in the evening and arrested by police.

No charges have been laid yet, the HRPS Homicide unit has taken over to investigate and an update with additional details is forthcoming.
