Hamilton police seek identity of man involved in Westdale robbery

Hamilton Police are asking for help from the public in identifying a man who robbed a business in the Westdale area in August.

A commercial break and enter happened on Aug. 11 shortly after 4:30 a.m. in the area of King St. West and Newton Ave.

A man smashed the window on the front door of a business and stole several items before fleeing the scene.

Police did not release the estimated total of value lost for the business.

The suspect is described as a 20-30 year old white man. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a blue baseball hat, a black sweater, black shorts, black gloves, a left brown shoe, a right blue shoe, and he had a black backpack.

The man was also in the possession of a white BMX bicycle with yellow tires and red rims.

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.
