Hamilton firefighters rescued three dogs and their owners from a house fire on Smith Ave.

Crews responded just after 8:00 a.m. Monday. There were no reports of injuries and the fire was contained.

The fire department says the blaze appears to have been in the kitchen, but the cause has not yet been determined and no dollar value on the damage has been assessed.
