Brantford police arrest three after aggravated assault investigation

Brantford police arrested three people in an aggravated assault investigating.

On Thursday, Oct. 6 at around 3:30 p.m., police responded to a residence located on Fifth Avenue after receiving a report of a woman who had been assaulted.

Police say a 24-year-old woman was transported to hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. She was found unconscious after allegedly being assaulted the previous evening.

After investigating, three individuals were taken into custody. A 17-year-old girl, a 16-year-old girl, and a 20-year-old man each stand charged with aggravated assault causing bodily harm.

Police say the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
