Pedestrian struck in Fort Erie, sustains injuries

A man was struck in Fort Erie late last night.
Niagara Police say officers responded to the parking lot of 145 Gilmore Rod at 10:47 p.m. to reports of a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.
Paramedics arrived to the scene and transported the man to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the dark-coloured Grand AM fled the scene before police arrived. The driver has since been identified, but police have not made any arrests at this time.
Niagara Regional Police continue to investigate and ask anyone with information to contact them.
