Man struck by pick-up truck in Hamilton’s East End

A pedestrian has been taken to hospital after being struck by a pick-up truck early this morning in Hamilton’s east end.

All lane on on Barton Street East between Chapel Street and Gage Avenue had been closed around 3:30 a.m.

Police say a 45-year-old man entered into traffic suddenly and was hit by the pick-up truck. He is expected to survive.

Barton Street reopened at around 5:00 a.m.
