Two charged in break-and-enter at Niagara Falls hotel

Niagara police have arrested two people following a break-and-enter investigation.

On July 24, police were called to a hotel in the area of Dunn St. and Stanley Ave. in Niagara Falls following the report of a break-and-enter.

Police say they located a man and woman in one of the rooms who were not guests of the hotel. Officers say information of a firearm in the room led to the evacuation of neighbouring rooms while they investigated.

Shortly after, the man and woman were taken into custody.

Tarik Elbardi, 30, and 40-year-old Mary Minov are facing multiple charges including possession of a prohibited firearm and possession of drugs, among others.
