Repairs on Lancaster bomber to be completed soon: museum

The iconic Lancaster bomber is expected to be back up in the skies soon.
The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum said in a tweet Wednesday a replacement engine for the Lancaster has been test run at an overhaul shop in the United States.

“It shouldn’t be much longer before it’s back here and we have the Lancaster flying again,” the museum said in a tweet.
The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum decided to ground the plane in June after post-maintenance flight inspections.
Public plane rides on the Lancaster are sold out for this season. Bookings for the 2023 season begin in November.
