Man, 19, charged in Saturday shooting of woman in Niagara Falls

Niagara police have charged a 19-year-old man after a woman was shot in the head with a BB gun Saturday.

Officers responded to reports of a disturbance Tuesday at a business near Dorchester and Thorold Stone roads in Niagara Falls.

When police arrived, they identified the man as the alleged suspect in the shooting on Saturday.

Officers then found the weapon believed to be used in the shooting when they executed a search warrant at his residence.

Joshua Levesque, 19, of Niagara Falls is facing four separate charges, including possession of a weapon.

Levesque was scheduled to appear in a St. Catharines court Wednesday.
