Hamilton man charged with arson after fire at Oakville pizza restaurant

Halton police have charged a 29-year-old man with arson after a pizza restaurant in Oakville was set on fire.

It happened at Four Brothers Pizza on Kingsway Dr. around 1:30 a.m. on June 5.

Officers said a suspect threw a rock through a window of the restaurant and then threw a gas can into it causing about $18,000 worth of damage.

Following an investigation, police arrested 29-year-old Tyler Wesley of Hamilton on June 20.

Officers also executed a search warrant at his residence in Hamilton.

Wesley has been charged with arson – damage to property and possession of incendiary material.

The Hamilton man was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
