Burlington non-profit heading to Ukraine on humanitarian mission

Ken Forbes, the president of Burlington non-profit, Speroway is heading to Ukraine to visit the emergency food and supplies program he has been running.
Since the Russian invasion began, Canadians have donated nearly $3M to Speroway and its partners. Forbes says that money has been used to buy 800 tonnes of food for internally displaced Ukrainians but says the need is still great.
“The money is greatly needed because we’re shipping in food every day, and to regions where people need access to food,” Forbes said.
