Niagara police charge 4, seize over $16K worth of illegal drugs

Niagara police arrested and charged four people after seizing over $16,000 dollars worth of illegal drugs.

Officers began an investigation in April into the distribution of illegal drugs throughout Niagara Falls.

Detectives then received permission Tuesday to execute a search warrant in the area of Green Ave. and Rysdale St. in Niagara Falls.

Police were able to seize suspected cocaine, fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine and nearly $2,000 CAD believed to be proceeds of crime.

Forty-eight-year-old Cathy Dennis of Niagara Falls, 53-year-old Candy Stewart of Niagara Falls, 47-year-old Christopher Judge of Niagara-On-The-Lake and 39-year-old Rebecca McDonald of St. Catharines face multiple drug-related charges.

All four suspects have been released and are scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 4.
