Richard Taylor double murder trial delayed after juror tests positive for COVID-19

Richard Taylor’s double murder trial is paused until Thursday because one of the juror tested positive for COVID-19.
The juror will be isolating until then. The other 11 members of the jury will be using rapid tests to make sure they have not contracted the virus.
The Crown is nearing the end of its case and then the defence will call witnesses.
Taylor has been charged with two counts of first degree murder in relation to the deaths of his mother Carla and stepfather Alan Rutherford. The couple died as a result of a house fire in July 2018 in Dundas.
