Brantford police searching for suspects after 17 suspicious fires

Brantford police are asking for the public’s help following 17 suspicious fires within four months.

Since January 2022, a number of blazes have occurred in vehicles, a barn and a porch.

Investigators said the fires were deliberately set, but all of them were quickly controlled and resulted in minor property damage. There were no injuries reported as a result of the fires.

Officers said they have been working to identify suspects seen in the area.

They are asking residents living near the locations of the incidents to review any video surveillance footage which may have captured the suspects responsible for these fires.
