No one injured after barn, house fire in Wainfleet

Niagara police say no one was injured during a barn fire in Wainfleet Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called to a barn shortly after 3 p.m. in the area of Abbey and Peterson roads.

Police said high winds at the time caused the fire to spread from the barn to a house that was on the same property.

No one was inside the barn or house and there were no animals inside the barn, police said.

At this time, officials do not believe the fire is suspicious.

Officers said there is no indication that the Ontario Fire Marshall was contacted or that they will be investigating.
