Two-vehicle collision in Georgetown leaves one driver dead: OPP

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say a 43-year-old driver is dead following a two-vehicle collision in Georgetown on Thursday.
Officers said the crash happened shortly after 11:30 a.m. in the area of Trafalgar Rd. and Highway 7.
The OPP Highway Safety Division said in a tweet that a commercial truck traveling eastbound on Highway 7 collided with an eastbound vehicle that entered the westbound lanes.

Police said the 43-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The truck fell into the ditch and leaked fuel. Investigators said the driver of the truck was not injured.
