Some Dole and President’s Choice salad products have been recalled due to possible Listeria contamination.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) says eight varieties of Dole salads and five from President’s Choice are being recalled including:

DOLE Garden Salad
DOLE Very Veggie
DOLE Greener Selection
DOLE American Blend
DOLE Asian Island Crunch Supreme Kit
DOLE Southwest Salad Supreme Kit
DOLE Chop Chop Kit Peppercorn Ranch
DOLE Chop Chop Kit Teriyaki Pineapple
PRESIDENT’S CHOICE Garden Saland
PRESIDENT’S CHOICE Mixed Greens

All have best before dates of either January 8 or 9.

The products were sold at stores across the country.

Food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick.

Symptoms can include vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headache and neck stiffness. If you think you became sick from consuming a recalled product, call your doctor.

Recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the location where they were purchased.
