Josh Cruddas is juggling a music and acting career with a new album and two Hollywood movies.

This morning he joined us to talk about his latest film, ‘Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City’, which hits theaters November 24th.

Cruddas plays fan-favourite Ben Bertolucci in the upcoming film Resident Evil: Welcome to Racoon City.

“Ben is an investigative journalist slash conspiracy theorist,” said Cruddas. “He is curious about what the Umbrella Corporation is doing in Racoon City.”

Cruddas says he played a little bit of the Resident Evil video games when he was a kid, but was ultimately too scared.  When he got the part in the new movie, he re-visited the horror games again.

“The director, Johannes Roberts, got the blueprints form CAPCOM, who made the games to recreate The Spencer Mansion,” said Cruddas. “So they really did their homework and it shows…the movie is fully immersive and fully scary.”

Resident Evil: Welcome to Racoon City is coming to theaters Nov. 24.

Cruddas also appears alongside Donald Sutherland in a movie called Moonfall coming out in 2022.

“It’s by Roland Emerich, who does all these amazing disaster movies that I love so much,” said Cruddas. “I was very stoked to be a part of this movie.”

Moonfall is about a NASA executive, an astronaut and a conspiracy theorist going to space to stop the moon from crashing into Earth.
