International award-winning realtor pulls back the curtain on the real estate industry in new book

International award-winning realtor Sharon Mason has a treasure trove of entertaining stories and experiences to share in her book “For the Love of Real Estate – Tales from the Trenches” with a foreword written by her son Jason Priestly.
Mason’s son was helping her in other ways for a long time. When he was a boy, Priestly would hand out flyers around town for Mason’s real estate business.
“I hired him and his buddy to go and deliver my newsletters,” said Mason. “That was in a day before email, we didn’t have Internet, we didn’t have iPhones, we didn’t have any of that technology that we have today.”
What inspired Mason to write her new book was the relationships she was forming with her clients. She says she wanted to document all the interesting stories and experiences throughout her long career as a real estate agent.
Mason says a lot of the times, the pets of the clients she worked with were some of the more interesting experiences. She recalls knowing a Collie who carried around a purse in her mouth filled with lipstick, a handkerchief and dog biscuits.
“All these stories teach us a lesson on how to deal with people,” said Mason.
