Burlington Canal Lift Bridge to close for several hours Thursday

The Burlington Canal lift bridge is scheduled to be closed for most of Thursday affecting road traffic but not marine traffic.

The City of Burlington says the bridge will be unavailable for motorists, cyclists and for pedestrians from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The brief closure will be used to remove all temporary traffic control equipment from the area and fully reopen the bridge.

Following the closure the bridge will be open for all ground traffic.
