An investigation began in May looking into a trafficking ring that was believed to have been operating in the Greater Toronto Area and the Halton region since 2019.

Officers executed five search warrants at homes in Brampton and Toronto arresting four men and one woman allegedly connected to the trafficking ring.

Investigators say they seized loaded firearms, large sums of cash and identification documents as a result of the search warrants.

Police have arrested:

The five people are facing several charges including assault with a weapon, human trafficking, and advertising sexual services.
