Hamilton trails close for the week for repairs

Both the Waterfront and Desjardins recreational trails will be closed for the week for repairs starting Monday, Sept. 16.

Desjardins Trail will be closed from the entrance at Princess Point to the bridge, including the stair access at York Street. The trail forms a section of the Hamilton Waterfront Trail close to McMaster beginning at Princess Point and surrounding the Desjardins Fishway and Cootes Paradise.

The Waterfront Trail will be closed from the bridge area to Princess Point.

The repairs are specific to the floating bridge that connects both pathways.

The City of Hamilton says repairs will go until Sept. 20, pending reassessment.
