Hamilton police are investigating a shooting overnight Saturday in the area of Gage Avenue South and King Street East.
Officers responded to reports of gunfire just after 2 a.m. and confirmed that multiple shots were fired.
Investigators determined that the suspect or suspects, as well as any victims of the shooting, had fled the area before police arrived.
Detectives say that a Hamilton Cab taxi transported the alleged victim to and from the area.
The department also released surveillance video from a home nearby of the shooting as part of their report of the incident.
Anyone with information on any victims or suspects involved are asked to contact police.
