Hamilton police have arrested a youth in connection to a shooting on Sept. 1 near Upper Wentworth Street and Kingfisher Drive around Lime Ridge Mall.

Shortly before 6:00 p.m. that evening a shooting occurred, prompting an immediate investigation.

Footage of the suspect was released to the public. The accused was seen wearing a blue tracksuit with a white circular pattern and a black ski mask.

On Sept. 4, members of the police’s Emergency Response Unit located the suspect at a downtown location where the youth was arrested without incident.

The youth cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
