No one injured following boat fire in Grimsby

No one was injured following a boat fire in Grimsby early Monday morning.

Grimsby Fire Chief Greg Hudson says first responders arrived around 8 a.m. to a boat engulfed in flames near Maple Avenue and Stone Gate Drive.

“Due to its location, the boat was difficult to access but there were no buildings or other exposures nearby,” Hudson told CHCH News in an email.

The cost of damage is estimated at $50,000.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
