Niagara police arrest N.B. man in human trafficking investigation

Niagara police say they have arrested a 53-year-old man in connection with a human trafficking case.

Officials say an investigation was launched in April into the suspected trafficking of women in the Niagara region.

Police announced today that Conrad Leduc of Bathurst, New Brunswick, had been arrested in Welland.

Leduc now faces multiple charges relating to human trafficking. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing in St. Catharines.

Niagara police believe there could be more victims in both Ontario and New Brunswick.
