Birthday party held for Hamilton woman turning 109

Hamilton resident Ann Konkel marked another milestone birthday on Sunday, turning 109 in the company of family and friends.

A celebration was held for Konkel in the courtyard at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Charlton Avenue where she has lived for the past four years.

The Hamilton Police Choir and local firefighters were there to pass on their congratulations, along with hospital staff and members of Konkel’s family.
