Skating and biking fun & etiquette at the Caledonia Skate Park

First Published:

Emily Vukovic was in Caledonia learning all about skateboarding and biking to enjoy the summer outdoors.

She started at the Grand River Skate Shop, owned by Daniel Britton. He sells everything you need to build a skateboard- the deck, grip tape, trucks, wheels, bearings and hardware.

Another great thing to do outdoors is biking, and Dixon Cycle is an family owned and operated shop that focuses on the repair, service and maintenance of your bike, but also sells bikes, and accessories. They also rent mountain bikes out so you can explore the trails around the county.

Emily also checked out the Caledonia Skatepark, where some of the locals showed off their tricks.

You can also check out some of the local talent at an event in Waterford, in participation with Haldimand-Norfolk REACH.
