Florida Panthers win Game 7 to capture 1st Stanley Cup title

The historic collapse that many Canadian hockey fans were hoping for failed to materialize last night in Florida.
The Panthers beat the Edmonton Oilers 2-1 to take game 7 of the Stanley Cup final and win the NHL championship.
It means the cup won’t be hoisted in Canada for at least another year. But, it still was a history-making night, with the Panthers winning the franchise’s first ever cup.
