Following the busiest day of the year last Friday, consumer experts are expecting record numbers today as many scour the internet for a deal during “Cyber Monday”.
They believe holiday shoppers will be hunting for the best bargains with just a click of a button, while trying to stave off rising everyday costs and inflation.
Consumer spending for cyber week – the five days between U.S. Thanksgiving and the following Monday – provides a strong indication for how much shoppers are willing to spend during the holidays.
According to Adobe Analytics, they’re forecasting U.S. consumers to spend between $12-billion and $12.4-billion on Cyber Monday, which would mark it the biggest online shopping day of all time.
Meanwhile here in Canada, numbers are indicating a more modest year.
