Canada issues travel advisory warning LGBTQ+ people of U.S. state laws

U.S. laws centered around drag shows and gender care have prompted Canadian officials to advise their own citizens to proceed with caution when visiting south of the border.

Yesterday, Global Affairs Canada updated its international travel advisories, warning members of the LGBTQ+ community that they may face discrimination in some parts of the U.S.

This follows a warning from U.S. Homeland Security that threats of violence against the queer community were becoming more frequent and intense.
