Man, 31, dead after single-vehicle crash on Kenilworth Access

A 31-year-old man is dead following a single-vehicle collision this morning near the Kenilworth and Sherman accesses in Hamilton.

The Hamilton Fire Department said in a tweet that the crash happened around 7 a.m. on the Kenilworth Access at Kimberly Dr. and the Sherman Access.

Police said his 2017 GMC Sierra left the road and struck a fence turning the vehicle onto its side.

Fire crews then confirmed the driver had no vital signs 40 minutes later.

The east legs of both the Kenilworth and Sherman accesses were closed for a police investigation, but have since reopened.

It is not known at this time if this was a medical event or if speed or alcohol were factors in this collision.

The collision reconstruction unit is investigating the cause of the accident.
