Safe Roads

Everyone wants safer streets but it seems daily we hear stories of collisions or people who have been hit. The City of Hamilton and Police are teaming up for “Vision Zero”.

The world-wide initiative started in Sweden with a goal to make our roads safer. Through improved education, enforcement, engineering, evaluation and engagement the goal of the program is zero fatalities or serious injuries on all roadways.

Morning Live spoke with David Ferguson, the Superintendent of Traffic Engineering for the City of Hamilton to learn more.
