Hamilton Police investigating Sunday morning stabbing on east mountain

Hamilton Police are investigating a stabbing on the east mountain.

Officers were called to the area of East 27th St. and Concession St. around 6 a.m. on Sunday for reports of a man being stabbed.

A 42-year-old man was found with serious injuries. He was taken to hospital and remains in life-threatening condition.

Hamilton Police say the Major Crime Unit has taken over the investigation.

Police say an SUV-style vehicle was seen leaving the area but there is no suspect description at the time.

They have been canvassing the area looking for security video.
