Carney’s Liberals defeat Conservatives, NDP loses party status

A new era begins in Canada with a rebooted Liberal party at the helm.
Results are being finalized following Monday night’s Canadian Federal election but celebrations ensued after the Liberals rose from the ashes under Prime Minister Mark Carney and won enough seats to form government.
The Carney-led party defeated Pierre Poilievre’s Conservatives and Jagmeet Singh’s New Democrats, who officially lost party status Monday night.
Both the Liberals and the Tories pulled away from the rest of the pack.
What’s unclear at the moment, is if the Liberals will form a majority or a minority government, only needing three more seats to take control of the House of Commons.
