The mayor of Niagara Falls says police-monitored security cameras are coming to the city’s downtown.

Mayor Jim Diodati says the cameras will cover an area outside city hall where on Friday, a man from Toronto was stabbed multiple times in a random attack.

Police have arrested a man who they say is responsible, and the 66-year-old victim was taken to hospital for treatment.

For more on this, CHCH anchor Matt Ingram spoke with Diodati.
