Police looking for four people after Oakville home invasion

Halton police are looking for four people believed to be involved in a home invasion and attempted car theft in Oakville.

Minor injuries and a stolen handbag were reported by the homeowners as a result of the break-in.

On March 29, around 5:30 a.m., four people broke into a home near Meadowridge Drive and Dundas Street East through the back patio entrance.

Two of those people confronted the homeowners, demanding the keys to their vehicles.

During the confrontation, one of the homeowners was hit in the face with an unknown object, after which all four suspects ran away.

The group managed to make off with a handbag, but no car keys or any other valuables.

Investigators describe all four of the people believed to be involved as men wearing dark clothing and face masks. They also noted one was seen carrying a handgun.
