OPP charge wanted man, after arrest in Simcoe, Norfolk County

Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police have charged a wanted man Sunday afternoon after arresting him in Simcoe.
Police say an on-patrol officer spotted a man with an outstanding arrest warrant on West Street at around 4:05 p.m.
The officer had a quick interaction with the man, before the man tried to flee the area.
The man was later found on Pond Street, where he was taken into custody.
Investigators say officers seized a quantity of what they suspect to be cocaine, Canadian currency, and drug-related paraphernalia from the man.
Police have charged 30-year-old Richard Grant from Norfolk County, with offences including: possessing cocaine, possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and for failing to comply with a probation order.
Grant has been held in custody and is scheduled to appear at a bail hearing at a Simcoe courthouse Monday.
