Police make eight arrests during search warrants in Hamilton

Hamilton Police say they have arrested eight people as part of an investigation during two search warrants at homes Thursday in Hamilton.
Officers say the department’s Drugs and Gangs Unit and the Break & Enter, Auto Theft and Robbery unit worked collaboratively on two investigations on Mar. 13.
They executed two search warrants, one at a home on Shelby Avenue, and the other at a home on James Street North.
Investigators say they found multiple firearms; various illegal substances including methamphetamine, cocaine, blue, red and yellow fentanyl, hydromorphone pills and oxycocet pills; two stolen automobiles and $1,600 in counterfeit currency.
Police say following the entry into the homes by warrant, eight people were located and arrested for a number of criminal offences.
Officers have arrested and charged:
- 40-year-old Michael Casey from Hamilton;
- 43-year-old Bradley Mark from Hamilton;
- 39-year-old Shannon Batchelor from Hamilton;
- 28-year-old Julian Jesso from Hamilton;
- 23-year-old Jacob Boyd from Stoney Creek;
- 28-year-old Brandon Froese from Hamilton;
- 21-year-old Gemma Rogers from Hamilton;
- 24-year-old Maiya Pardy from Hamilton.
