Niagara police issue several drug charges after Fort Erie arrest

Niagara police say they have charged two people Thursday with drug charges after a dangerous driving arrest in the Ridgeway area of Fort Erie.
Officers say at around 1:30 a.m. they were allegedly aggressively followed by a member of the public while they were driving an unmarked police vehicle.
The department says the incident ended when a marked police vehicle initiated a traffic stop.
Police say the occupants of the vehicle were searched, and found several drugs, including cocaine, crack cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, fentanyl and oxycodone.
Investigators have charged 41-year-old Shane Moore of Fort Erie with possessing several drugs for the purpose of trafficking, and several additional Highway Traffic Act offences.
Officers have also charged 40-year-old Jody Mcnab of Fort Erie with similar offences, as well as mischief under $5,000 and having liqour in an open container in an unauthorized place.
Both Moore and Mcnab were held in custody and are scheduled to appear at a St. Catharines courthouse Thursday.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
