Waterford teen charged in assault investigation

Norfolk police have charged a teenager in connection to an assault investigation in Waterford.

Police say the assault occurred inside a residence on Feb. 18 around 9:58 p.m.

Minor injuries were reported, as well as damage to the victim’s property.

A 16-year-old from Norfolk County has been charged with mischief and assault.

The accused, whose identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.
