Brantford man arrested in break and enter at previously targeted residence

Brant County OPP have arrested and charged a Brantford man who attempted to break into a residence under renovation on Saturday morning.

Police responded to call about the incident at a residence on McBay Road and found the man on the property.

Investigation revealed that the same residence had been targeted in a previous theft on Feb. 23 when scrap copper valued between $500 and $1,000 was reported stolen.

Police have charged Francis Zecca, 46, with break and enter of a dwelling, theft under $5,000 and failing to comply with probation.

Zecca was taken into custody and later released with a future court date.
