Checking out the history and things to do in York Durham Headwaters

Emily Vukovic was in York Durham Headwaters with Destination Ontario checking out three different spots for cozy après vibes and history.

Her first spot was the Millcroft Inn and Spa which offers Nordic inspired heating pools, heated swimming pools and a cold plunge for a spa retreat where you can focus on health and wellness.

For a little history, Emily visited the Alton Mill Arts Centre, which started in 1881 as a knitting mill and then a balloon factory. The space is now home to 17 artists and 20 different studios where people can go and meet the artists while checking out their work or learning from them at different workshops.

The Liberty Inn is a new spot opening February 6th. The building was built in 1855 and was originally the post office for the area. During the pandemic it was for sale, and is now The Liberty Inn, which offers a great space to stay and focus on wellness and connection.
