Hamilton police investigate city’s 60th shooting of the year

Officers are investigating a shooting that happened in Hamilton’s downtown Tuesday morning which marks the city’s 60th shooting this year.
Police believe a targeted incident occurred in the area of Jackson Street East and Bowen Street just before 3 a.m.
No one was reported to be injured, and officers believe the person intended to be the primary target did not remain in the area.
Investigators are looking to identify the shooting suspect, whom they describe as a man with curly hair and was last seen wearing a hoodie, blue jeans and black-and-white shoes.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police but to stay away from the suspect if they see him.
