Niagara police have identified a woman who was found in medical distress over the weekend.

The department previously released a sensitive photo after exhausting all efforts to identify her.

Officers say the woman was found around 5 p.m. Saturday.

Paramedics brought her to a local hospital, where she was treated.

Niagara police are thanking the public for its assistance.
