Nicola Jones Update

Our weather specialist, Nicola Jones left the lights and the cameras in our studio last April to start her battle against cancer; a battle for her life.
She’s winning.
Since Jones was diagnosed she has been battling on all fronts: traditional medicine, complementary medicine and spiritually and its working.
Following her most recent scan, doctors told her that her tumour has shrunk, which is music to the ears of any patient, but it’s huge progress for Jones because of how aggressive the tumour has been.
Jones has been receiving traditional cancer treatment at the Juravinski Cancer Centre in Hamilton, but she has also been receiving complementary care from Phoenix Rising.
“I’ve learned I have a lot of friends I’ve never met,” Jones said “that’s probably the greatest experience for me and I feel like I have a lot of hugs to give and a lot of people to thank.”
People are thanking her too.
Trina Medves with ‘fit4females’ dedicated her annual five kilometer walk to Jones.
“Nicola has changed our community,” Medves said “she’s touched so many people, she’s touched my life in a very personal way and this is my small way to give back.”
Jones says she doesn’t have a crystal ball and can’t predict the future, but she said she is feeling fantastic and her treatment is getting her to her own finish line where she is healthy.
