Ukraine battles to reclaim portions of Russian-occupied Kherson region

A major and much-anticipated offensive to retake portions of Russian-occupied Ukraine is underway today.

Ukraine’s military says it has destroyed key bridges in the southern Kherson region,
as ground troops engage in firefights with Russian soldiers.
