WATCH: Drake goes retro in new music video
Drake took us all the way back to the early 2000s with a full “Degrassi” reunion in his new music video for “I’m Upset.”
The rapper, who played Jimmy Brooks on the Canadian teen drama from 2001 to 2009, goes back to Degrassi High in the Karena Evans-directed music video.
The six-minute video features cameos by many of the rapper’s co-stars including Ephraim Ellis (Rick Murray), Nina Dobrev (Mia Jones), Lauren Collins (Paige Brooks), Shane Kippel (Gavin “Spinner” Mason), Stefan Brogran (Archie “Snake” Simpson) and many others.
Jay and Silent Bob—Kevin Smith’s signature creations—also made an appearance.
While Jimmy is apparently no longer in a wheelchair, at one point in the clip his new friends get their revenge on Rick for shooting him in the back 14 years ago.
Reaction to the video has been quick.
