Exclusive // The Meaning of Life

Oakville based filmmaker Cat Hostick brings her film The Meaning of Life to the Oakville Film Festival this weekend for its Canadian Premiere. The film stars Tyler Shaw as Finn Faber, an aspiring musician who takes a job as a music therapist at the local children’s hospital. While pursuing his musical dreams he inspires Sophia, a young girl with leukaemia to not give up on her dreams of becoming an artist. Cat is one half of the North Film Co. Production team, and with her partner/DOP Russ De Jong, created a musically influenced, inspiring feature film shot right here in southern Ontario.

Tyler Shaw will be on hand at the Oakville Film Festival gala screening of The Meaning of Life on Saturday June 24th to introduce the film and perform his original songs. It’s a concert + movie combo! Get your tickets here.
